When I first found this recipe for Tuna Chip Casserole, I thought that the title was wrong. What are Tuna Chips anyway? Once I read the ingredients I was still intrigued. Who would think of putting potato chips in a casserole? Maybe the same people who put fries in their hamburger? Although it is a strange combination of ingredients this dish is something that you must try. With only three ingredients you could not find anything much easier to make, even the kids could help with this one. It is also great to find another meat free recipe even though I have the Tuna Mornay with Cherry Tomatoes recipe, this is a much easier recipe for those who like to experiment. Who would have thought that Tuna Chip Casserole could be a thing? Enjoy!

Serves 2

Ingredients

1 large tin tuna (break up finely)
1 tin mushroom soup (add ½ can milk, and heat)
1 large packet potato chips (frozen)

Method

In casserole dish, place a layer of tuna and chips alternately, finishing with a layer of chips on top.
Pour soup over, place in a low oven (300-325 °F or 150-160 °C) for 3/4 hour and crisp the chips on top. Serve with salad.

Hints

  • Use thinly sliced potato instead (sliced with a mandolin).
  • Sprinkle grated cheese on top and let it melt.
