A Grand Marnier Truffles Recipe
I have a couple of recipes for truffles but called Chocolate Rum Balls and similar. So yes, it does get confusing. These Grand Marnier Truffles are quite decadent. I also like recipes that require no ovens or food processors. There are not that many ingredients and therefore not that difficult to make, just messy that’s all. I prefer using the Grand Marnier than rum or brandy, but it is up to your personal preference. All I know is that they go as quickly as they are made. They are very addictive. Enjoy!
Ingredients
60 grams butter
1 egg yolk
2 tbs cocoa
1/4 cup icing sugar
1 tb Grand Marnier, dark rum or brandy
200 grams good quality eating chocolate, grated
Method
Cream butter with egg yolk. Add cocoa, icing sugar and Grand Marnier. Mix thoroughly with 150 g of the grated chocolate.
Refrigerate until firm if necessary. Form into small balls and roll in the remaining grated chocolate.
Place in tiny patty cases and refrigerate.
Hints
Keep covered in the refrigerator until needed.
If you are unable to source tiny patty cases just place on a plate.
Great as a gift.
