This Chocolate Truffles recipe is probably named as such because they are really Chocolate Rum Balls but without the Rum. Most of the ingredients are the same with the exception of vanilla essence, and they are still covered in desiccated coconut. There is also another Chocolate Truffle recipe which is made with chocolate alongside other ingredients. I hope this isn’t too confusing but it is important to distinguish the recipes as not everyone wants to have Rum as an ingredient in their dessert.


1 can sweetened condensed milk
2 cups crushed sweet biscuits
1 cup desiccated coconut
2 tablespoons cocoa
Extra desiccated coconut for rolling


Mix the biscuits, cocoa and coconut and mix well with the sweetened condensed milk. Roll into balls the size of a walnut and roll in coconut.


Add vanilla essence for extra flavor (optional).
Can use either desiccated or shredded coconut as a coating in the final stage.
